About Crescent City Productions
Crescent City Productions borrows its name from the city of New Orleans, hometown of our Founding Partner Jacob Gaffney. And like the best of New Orleans, Crescent City Productions celebrates only the most original, thought-provoking, emotive, unique, and electrifying stories that the human spirit has to offer.
If it speaks of the triumph of humanity and the power of community, it speaks to Crescent City Productions and the power of Positive Entertainment.
For Crescent City, Positive Entertainment is simple, really. You won't find us slavishly producing the newest reality TV spectacular to pit one contestant against another or the latest series to tell you about the dangers of this group or that belief. We're just not interested.
At Crescent City Productions, it's about bringing together, not pulling apart, and discovering the extraordinary stories that represent the finest our world has on offer.
Crescent City CorporateNames & Faces

Founding Partner & Managing Director Jacob Gaffney recently discovered that his entry on the Wikipedia was tagged for deletion,
owing to a lack of notability.
So just how notable is Jacob?
Well, after beginning his professional career in broadcasting and journalism as an associate producer for ABC–affiliate WGNO in New Orleans,
Jacob moved to New York City and began producing international news spots for UPN9, before eventually completing Harriet Lembeck's exhausting wine program at the New School and joining
world-renowned wine magazine Wine Spectator, a publication for which he continues to write. Following his move to London, Jacob also started to appear as an actor in several celebrated films and television dramas.
All that might not be notable for the editors Jimmy Wales' online behemoth, but it's sure good enough for us.

Founding Partner & Financial Director Duncan Webster puts the City in Crescent City as our token City boy — though you'd never guess it if you saw him out of the office, when he ditches the pin–stripes, bowler hat, and umbrella
for a pair of camouflage shorts and a polo shirt. Born and raised in coastal Suffolk, Duncan always knew destiny would draw him south to the metropolis. At UCL, he proved a frequent visitor of the University of London Student Union while completing his degree in Economics.
Since his graduation, Duncan has busied himself with work in the City of London. Within the last five years, Duncan has been instrumental in raising more than $200 million for UK and US film productions; and, although some might call him a bit of a workaholic, we prefer the term ‘Piggy Bank’
on legs. Amazingly, with what little spare time his life affords him, Duncan managed to get elected Chairman of Islington Conservatives.
How does he find the time to do it all?
Easy; he never sleeps. Not ever. Not a wink.

Director of Operations Sean Sellers shares his name with far more people than he thinks he should, including an infamous Satanist–turned–Christian double–murderer and the progressive Christian Rock band named after him.
Before he was born, his mother had wanted to name him the Spanish equivalent of Tiberius, second Emperor of Rome, and middle name of James T Kirk, captain of the USS Enterprise.
It was a childhood favourite of hers, and presumably few others.
Regardless, Sean thinks it would have conferred a certain degree of individuality upon him and ensured that he was the first entry whenever anyone ‘Googled’ his name; go on
have a go — you'll see what he means.
As it stands he has significant competition from an Iowa car dealer; a student activist in Florida; someone who played the receptionist in an episode of the teen Sci–fi drama Roswell; a Straight–edge, hardcore punk
drummer from Santa Cruz, California; the aforementioned Sean Sellers, executed by the state of Oklahoma in 1999 for the murder of his parents; and a bunch of progressive Christian rockers.
Sean's also the man behind the forthcoming Web site Seanergy.net and designer of crescentcity.co.uk and InterWined.com.

Like so many Australians of his generation, Consultant James Phillips was conceived in the back of a Ute to the dulcet tones of Air Supply's hit single ‘All Out of Love’. According to some of his former employers,
James has basic–to–pretty–good wine knowledge, but more than makes up for it with his incredible business acumen. We thought they were joking — until James
recommended using a wine bottle as the InterWined logo. And, even though his idea was rejected outright for its utter banality (Who's ever though of using a wine bottle as an icon for a Wine site, right?), as you can tell from his photo he's soft on the eyes
and something special.
James is an occasional contributor to wine trade magazines, most notably Decanter, and is among the world's foremost authorities on the soft drink Dr Pepper.
